Lemon treeCitrus such as oranges, lemons and limes have been cultivated in this country for some 300 years.

They are easy to look after as long as a few basic rules are observed. They are attractive evergreens with wonderfully scented flowers that self pollinate to produce fruit.

Unlike apples and pears, for instance, citrus flowers and fruits appear on the plant at the same time, so you can have scented flowers, green fruitlets and mature lemons on the plant altogether.
