Large evergreen shrubs

Large evergreen plants are used as structure or anchor plants in garden design, to give instant form to a new bed or as 'room' dividers. They also can have a utility function such as hiding the gas tank or recycling bins.

Pay attention to the bushiness of the plant and the pot size, as this is more significant than overall height in many cases and is an indicatiojn of the age of the plant. Large shrubs in pots tend to get much more expensive over 1.8 or 2m tall. This is because a tall tree is fine in a relatively small pot whereas a tall shrub is a much older plant and will be in a relatively larger pot.
