Young native trees

The native trees of our woodlands and hedgerows areavailable during the winter months as young bare root transplanted whips 60-80cm tall.

Young trees are inexpensive and easy to plant but do need some protection and support in the first couple of years. Weed control around the base is vital as well as protection from rabbits, not to mention dogs and children!

Watering and mulching in the first summer after planting also must be considered, especially late summer, July and August when when the strong growth of April and May can be under stress in a long dry period.
